Comedy Gym
Be funny on purpose.
Funny is a muscle with a memory. Twenty minutes a day beats a weekend workshop every single time — and every lab in this room is a different machine to train on.
Streaks are dumb. Streaks also work.
The room
The Absurdist
Wants the premise to leave earth.
The Craftsman
Fixes word order until it snaps.
The Cynic
Assumes everyone is lying, including you.
The Storyteller
Insists there's a person in there somewhere.
The Roaster
Goes for the throat, apologizes never.
The Observationalist
Has noticed something you haven't.
The Weirdo
Contributes one line per hour. It's the best line.
The Editor
Deletes your favourite joke and is right.
The Crowd
Reacts like a Tuesday audience, not your friends.
The Coach
Tells you which muscle you're avoiding.
What it does
- Pitch a premise; the room throws a hundred angles at it.
- Kill 90% in one pass with reasons attached to each cut.
- Personas disagree with each other on purpose.
- Survivors go straight into the LOL Engine for a punch-up round.
What it measures
- Distinct angles generated (not rephrasings)
- Kill-rate discipline
- Voice consistency of survivors
- How many survivors you'd actually say out loud
The curriculum
- 01
Pitch
State the premise in one sentence or you don't have one.
- 02
Diverge
Quantity without judgement. Judgement comes next.
- 03
Cut
Kill everything that's merely fine.
- 04
Punch
Rewrite survivors for word order and specificity.
- 05
Order
Sequence for escalation.
- 06
Test
Say it out loud. Out loud changes everything.
The full multi-persona room ships in Phase 4.
