Exaggeration

How far past reasonable can you go before you lose belief?

Find the breaking point of belief and stand exactly one inch inside it.

The five moves

Same rhythm, every week.

  1. 1Study

Physical and verbal escalators: Murphy, Kinane, Wolf.

Watch on purpose. Specific comedians, specific reason.

  2. 2Deconstruct

20 bits: mark the exact line where reality stops and cartoon starts.

Isolate one mechanism. Name it before you use it.

  3. 3Write

15 premises taken one click past reasonable, then the same 15 taken ten clicks.

10–25 premises minimum. Quantity buys quality.

  4. 4Perform

Perform both versions. Let the audience pick.

Somewhere live. The classroom is useful; the audience is the laboratory.

  5. 5Review

Where did commitment save an absurd claim? Where did hedging kill it?

Watch the tape. Log what the room did, not what you felt.

Your twin asks

Eleven questions, every week.
