Your comic persona
Who is the exaggerated version of you onstage?
Perform as three different versions of yourself in one week.
The five moves
Same rhythm, every week.
1 — Study
Comics whose persona is obvious in ten seconds.
Watch on purpose. Specific comedians, specific reason.
2 — Deconstruct
For five of them, write the persona in five words.
Isolate one mechanism. Name it before you use it.
3 — Write
Three candidate personas for yourself, with the material each would own.
10–25 premises minimum. Quantity buys quality.
4 — Perform
Run the same three jokes through all three personas.
Somewhere live. The classroom is useful; the audience is the laboratory.
5 — Review
Which persona got laughs you didn't have to chase?
Watch the tape. Log what the room did, not what you felt.
