Act 4 — Discover your comedy DNA · Week 25 of 52

What makes YOU laugh?

What is the pattern hiding in your own taste?

Replace 'I like Chappelle' with a sentence describing the exact machine you love.

The five moves

Same rhythm, every week.

  1. 1Study

Your 100 favourite clips and jokes. All of them, in one week.

Watch on purpose. Specific comedians, specific reason.

  2. 2Deconstruct

Tag every one with mechanism, subject, emotional fuel, persona and delivery.

Isolate one mechanism. Name it before you use it.

  3. 3Write

One page naming the three patterns that repeat most.

10–25 premises minimum. Quantity buys quality.

  4. 4Perform

Perform something built deliberately from your top pattern.

Somewhere live. The classroom is useful; the audience is the laboratory.

  5. 5Review

Did it feel easier to write than everything before it?

Watch the tape. Log what the room did, not what you felt.

The Comedy Genome

Tag what made you laugh.

Tag every joke you studied this week. After a few months the pattern stops being an opinion and becomes your comedy DNA.

Your twin asks

Eleven questions, every week.
