    The 37 Comedy DNA axes

The fixed vocabulary. Every tag in the library is one of these, which is what makes two comedians comparable at all. The number is how many records carry that axis today.

    The 16 FUNNYAF archetypes

Archetypes are combinations of axes, assigned only on fully sequenced records where the evidence supports a mix.

    How a record gets tagged

    1. 1. Hand-curated. A researcher assigns axes after watching sets and reading interviews. These records also carry named techniques.
    2. 2. Derived. Axes are matched from the performer's sourced profile text using the public keyword table below. Deterministic, reproducible, and never invented — if the text does not support an axis, it is not applied.
    3. 3. Awaiting tagging. Not enough sourced text yet. Listed anyway, so the library's gaps are visible instead of hidden.
    4. 4. Sequenced. A small number of records go all the way: mechanism, DNA vector, archetype mix, technique stacks, drills and cited study clips.

Profile text is summarised from public encyclopaedic sources and each record links back to its source. No copyrighted routines are reproduced; quotations are brief and attributed. Corrections are welcome — this is a working reference, not a monument.
